Architecture & Design
Lindum has developed a number of innovative products which bring grass to a whole range of new and unusual applications in landscape architecture, design and civil engineering.
Landscaping turf
Lindum Turf is used across the UK in parks and gardens, retail, office and building developments. Over 25 years of growing experience ensures that Lindum Turf is consistently of high quality. All Lindum Turf is grown to the TGA (Turfgrass Growers' Association) standard as a minimum and conforms to BS 3969, including the renowned LT7 Festival, with outstanding appearance for areas of general landscaping.
Slopes and Shapes
Lindum has developed new and exciting tecnology, resulting in a 'living grass carpet' - Lindum Grassfelt - creating huge possibilities for daring and different designs in green spaces. Lindum Grassfelt is a mature soil-less grass growing in a biodegradable felt designed to retain moisture and to give great strength and flexibility. It can be sculpted to create interesting grass features as it will follow unusual contours.
Grass Car Parks and Walkways
Grass is often subjected to wear and tear by high volumes of traffic be it people of vehicles. Lindum Lokturf is specifically designed for high performance, high impact situations, meaning that grass can still be the surface of choice for overflow car parks, walkways and other high traffic areas at stately homes, visitor attractions, show grounds and public spaces.
Erosion Control
Rapid stabilisation of bare ground on steep slopes and embankments is easy with Lindum Grassfelt, a mature soil-less grass growing in a moisture-retentive felt made from recycled British textiles. The strong instant grass carpet is eay to lay, can be pegged onto steep areas for bank stabilisation, and will root rapidly.
Green Roofs
Green roofs help combat the effects of pollution, absorb rainfall, promote biodiveristy, and reduce the urban heat island effect. Lindum has developed a range of ready established and easy to maintain vegetation layer options for green roofs, Lindum Biodiverse Green Roof Mat, a mix of wildflowers/herbs/sedums to provide excellent biodiversity benefits and great visual impact, Lindum Wildflower Meadow Mat for biodiversity, and Lindum's Low Maintenance Turf is ideal for a turf grass finish with low maintenance requirements. More information can also be found on our new green roof website: www.lindumgreenroofs.co.uk
Wildflower turf
Wildflowers are notoriously difficult to establish when grown from seed because they are often out-competed by other more aggressive grasses. Lindum Wildflower turf is a ready established mix of wildflowers and grasses growing in a biodegradable felt to provide an instant wildflower meadow. Creating areas of the landscape that are rich in wildflowers can help to increase local biodiversity.
