Triple Turf Eco Package Launched at Harrogate Week
At this year's Harrogate Week exhibition Lindum launches a triple turf eco package to combat climate change on the golf course.
Low Maintenance Fine Turf is the first turf to incorporate Crested Hairgrass, renowned for its low maintenance qualities, slow growth habit and ability to thrive in dry, low fertility situations. Less fertiliser and less frequent mowing mean lower carbon emissions. The ability to tolerate dry periods without intensive irrigation will be extremely important in years when water is restricted.
Lindum Wildflower (a combination of native wild flowers and non invasive grasses on re-cycled felt), provides an instant natural meadow, which encourages biodiversity in the rough, and the ‘wilder’ areas of the course.
Drought tolerant RTF turf can root down 1.5 metres and put up with heavy wear. Ideal for walkways and bunker surrounds.
The event for turf management and groundscare professionals, Harrogate Week 2010 looks to be better than ever with a number of new exhibitors along with the big machinery suppliers including John Deere, Kubota and Toro who are all returning to the show in 2010.
The exhibition runs from Tuesday 19th to Thursday 21st January, and has an extensive education programme, ‘Continue to Learn’, running alongside. The education programme contains a range of one and half-day workshops, and a good selection of free seminars.
If you have the opportunity to visit Harrogate Week please do come and see us on Stand B5 in Hall B. Come and see our range of innovative turf products developed to meet the challenges of a changing climate, both economic and meteorological, including LT2 Low Maintenance turf to reduce inputs of labour, fertiliser and pesticides, fibre reinforced Lokturf, and Wildflower turf for instant biodiversity enhancement.
